Recall recycling is the secure collection, certified destruction, and recycling of recalled product. When a part or product is recalled, it cannot simply be binned: the manufacturer stays liable for any unit that resurfaces, so recalled stock needs a documented chain of custody from pickup through destruction, and then responsible recycling of the material that remains. Target Recycling runs recall recycling programs for automotive, pharmaceutical, and manufacturing companies across Ontario, to ISO:14001 standards, with a certificate of destruction on every job.
A recall program has five steps. First, we scope the recall with you: volumes, locations, timelines, and documentation requirements. Second, secured collection, scheduled around dealer, warehouse, or plant locations. Third, chain-of-custody tracking from pickup to our secured facility. Fourth, certified destruction of the recalled units, with recycling of the recovered material wherever the material allows, so a recall does not become a landfill event. Fifth, your documentation package: a certificate of destruction plus the records your compliance, legal, and brand-protection teams need. Our facilities handle high-volume national recalls, and our Controlled Goods registration covers sensitive and regulated material.

Usually, yes. After certified destruction, the recovered plastic and other materials are processed for recycling wherever the material allows, so a recall supports your diversion numbers instead of wrecking them.
