Toll grinding is a service where you send your material to a processor who grinds it to your specification for a fee (the "toll") and returns it to you, so you get processed material without buying grinding equipment. You keep ownership of the material throughout. The same arrangement is sometimes called toll milling or toll processing; in manufacturing, "tolling" simply means paying a specialist to run one processing step on material you own. At Target Recycling, we toll grind post-industrial plastics: purgings, off-spec parts, trim, and obsolete stock, ground to spec at our Ajax facility and pelletized in Simcoe.
Pharmaceutical companies use our toll grinding for a specific job: processing plastic waste streams that cannot simply be thrown away. Off-spec bottles and closures, blister and packaging waste, obsolete branded stock, and recalled product all need documented, secure handling before the material can be recycled. We grind and pelletize these streams to ISO:14001 standards and issue the documentation your quality and compliance teams need, including a certificate of destruction when required. Ontario pharma operations get local pickups from our Ajax facility rather than shipping material across the border. Where product integrity demands it, we pair grinding with certified secured destruction.

Our pelletizing facility is in Simcoe, Ontario, with processing in Ajax. This gives us the capacity to handle steady industrial volumes and turn them around quickly.
